Trunk Moulding
I replaced the moulding thru a trim shop in Baltimore about 2 years ago. I got it from Ecklers along with several other rubber mouldings. The trunk continues to leak and has gotten out of control. 2 mouldings a shown here on. Peach tree
One is 200 dollars the other 35 it stands to reason the 200 might be better but why? Has anyone replaced this and if so do you know the difference? As well how hard was the install? Many thanks

Some aftermarket rubber pieces are adequate, others not so. If you are having difficulty for one reason or another, go to M-B and source an original item.

after market rubber molding is not exact enough, not soft enough , does hold its shape, fit is not precise, and I never have been happy with the result. Dont ask me how I know

Trunk seal? Probably URO brand which is known to be inferior.
107 750 00 98 $380.00 MSRP $285.00 on one discount dealer site. Can't post the site link due to Pelican Parts fear of competition with their over priced parts. |
