R230 ABC Front Pressure Loss
Any direction would be of great help.
Vehicle is an 04 with 95,000 mi. After having an ABC front lean issue, repairs were a Valve block rebuild. A new Accumulator, full system flush with new ABC filter followed by a rodeo procedure. Lean is gone but unfortunately I now have a slow front leak down which can be cleared by level 1/2 lift to drive Nothing shows on Star SDS 4 diagnostic other than too low front error which you can erase but comes back after a day with the red error drivers message. I'm stumped. Symptoms present like several things Junk caught in the Valve block Pulsation Dampner ( but no usual noise associated with a sacked P.D.) Leaking Struts or hoses but no fluid loss or stained wet spots. Nothing to substantially obvious point to a specific problem. FWIW; All hose (Accumulator, pulsation dampner and Valve block) connections pertaining to the ABC check out clean Is it possible for air still to be trapped in the system? Thanks for looking |

If there's no external leakage the fluid is leaking past the valve. The rodeo procedure is used to force ALL the fluid and contaminants thru the filter (new filters are 3 microns vs 10 on the old ones). Sometimes this procedure must be performed more than once to get all the crap out of the system. If the rodeo procedure is repeated make sure the filter is replaced before and after........

I used the finer, 3 micron filters, once during the flush procedure and a second before the rodeo.
Filter has no contaminants trapped. A second rodeo can't hurt. Maybe something will let go and free up or I may pull it apart after and re-rebuild the Valve block again. I've taken it apart enough I know which seals on the particular selenoid to look for Thanks for your reply |
