R129 top issues please help!!
 

Ok so my 1997 r129 had leaking cylinders. I sent them out to be rebuilt by top hydraulics and installed them. Everything from what I see is hooked up fine I double checked that all hoses are in the correct spots. Here's what it does. It opens fine. No issues at all maybe it seems a little louder when unlatching but not sure. So the issue is when going to close the tonneau opens, the top goes all the way up to the windshield and the bow extension goes upright however the front latches don't engage and the tonneau does not retract to complete the cycle. Here's where it gets weird. If I have a helper and they force the tonneau down while it's stuck the front latches will grab and the top will finish closing normally. Wth is going on here?

I don't know this system specifically but I'd look at limit switches for the bow extension and for mechanical binding on the tonneau cover. The controller is probably waiting for the cover to close before it latches the front.
