Can you "decode" this???

Can anyone help me decode my data plate?... It's from my 76 450SL...

7B 5708356 71
10704412 04018 7
906G 906G M 6
531 585 592 636 819
467 494 518

For your numbers;
7B 5708356 71
10704412 04018 7
906G 906G M 6
531 585 592 636 819
467 494 518

Using just 0ne of the above, possible meanings of the option codes are:

107.044 is the R107 (1970-1980 SL roadster chassis - 107.045 SL 1980-1988)
906 is probably paint and fabric, possibly blue-grey metallic paint?

Last 2 lines are option codes:

531 possibly power antenna
585 possibly AC and power windows
592 tinted safety glass
636 delete reflective triangle from inside trunk lid
819 now means CD changer in trunk - in 1976 ???
467 central locking/english text and units on instruments
494 California Version
518 MN Exquisit radio

592 seems to indicate that your original hardtop has the heated rear window with compound safety glass, not the single sheet safety glass.

I thought the Exquisit radio was a European only option.

I don't know about the radio. When I bought the car it had an aftermarket one but a Becker Mexico cassette was included in the box of "spare parts". I don't think it works. Any ideas who can fix it? How can I tell if my hardtop has compound glass or not?

Outside of Becker themselves, I don't know if anyone fixes those radios.

As for the Compound Safety glass, look for the defroster lines. If they are vertical, it's Compound Safety glass. If they are horizontal, it's the Single Sheet safety glass.

The vertical elements are very hard to see.

Try Jorg Wagner in Germany. Only contact details I have are phone: +49 21 46 14 21. He was featured in May 2002 edition of Mercedes Enthusiast (a UK publication).
