I would go with the Michelin, Energy MXV4 Plus. Have them and love them. The car just doesn't ride the same with any other brand...

I have a set on my 560SEL. So far, no complaints.

Of course, there has been much tire debate (just search the board a bit) and people get a little, lets say, carried away.

For starters, check out this thread:

Guess we're all Michelin users here....have the XGT V4...wonderful.

I got the lower version with the wider footprint, and love them.

They oversteered a little when new...but they are quiet and very very sure-footed.

However, I really wanted a Michelin tire. There are other good ones, and I strongly second the earlier motion that you go to the tire thread, and do a search there. My queries and some very good replies are in the archives there.

Good luck!!
