Lower fan turn on temp.

How to have electric radiator fans turn on earlier in hot weather. What location to add resistor and what ohms.

On what car? Year and model?

Before you do this, depending on model is your fan clutch in proper working order? R107's and even R129's don't run hot at all. If you're getting to the point where you need your electric fans to turn on sooner, I'd be questioning the integrity of other components in your cooling system.

Perhaps easiest to add another power source to the fan motor controlled by a separate switch so it can be turned on or off as desired.

go to k6jrf.com and enjoy reading. I'd start with a 1.1K resistor inline at the temp sensor in the head.

Good luck!!!
