New to me SL

Just drove across NY state and picked up a 1997 SL320 in Azurite blue metallic with blue top and light grey interior with only 55k miles. Options include integrated cell phone system, heated seats and Bose speaker system with built in sub box behind drivers seat. Problems so far include completely sagging headliner on the hard top, and non-responsive central locking system. One thing I noticed while driving at night is how bright the digital odometers are compared to everything else that is lit up. Is that normal or maybe a previous owner put a bulb in that was too high wattage? It’s so bright that it gets reflected up in the windshield. Anyway, I will report more once I can familiarize myself with the car. All I can say is that I can’t wait for next summer. - Mike

Vacuum hoses

Anyone know where these disconnected vacuum lines on the right side of the trunk go? There also seems to be a black module of some sort indicated by the orange arrow that doesn’t seem to be plugged in to anything. Thanks - Mike

Central locking

So, I figured out that the reason I can’t find where the vacuum lines in the trunk connect to is because the entire vacuum pump, along with the foam covering and the tray it all goes in is missing on my car. No wonder the central locking was a no go. I’ll have to source all of that soon. I still can’t find the male multi plug connector for the infrared module that is disconnected. So weird that this stuff was all messed up but everything else on the car is in working order. Meh
