Euro 500 runs hot
 

Once and for all...is the auxiliary fan only for the a/c or will it aid in cooling the engine? My 84 is running near redline even on a 75 degree day. I have never heard the aux. fan come on as I don't drive it on hot hot days anyway. Could be time for a new thermostat?

Aux fan will come on @ 100C (212F) thermostat housing temp. If it does not kick on either the sender is pooched, or the fan or both. Sender is cheap, replace that first. You can also check fan by grounding with key ON, the fan should run.
