the dreaded rear wheel slotted nut

I am going toe tackle the rear wheel bearing job on my 380SL after searching this forum and reading D Morrison's great repair instruction. BUT the slotted nut tool is a missing element. Does anyone have one that I can borrow, rent, or other. The best price I could get is $78 for a new one... seems a little high for a one time use. I did see a "home made" version but lost the site.
