380sl 1984

my husband is 82 and is thinking about trading his red pristine 380sl(63,000) in for a more user-friendly 300 or 500sl..... he loves his 380 but it is not as comfortable as later models....should he hold on to his classic 380 or look for greener pastures....thanks
