But where's the SL in the survey? (OT)
 
New Zealand's leading auto mag editor has just come up with an interesting statement on tv this week: apparently our country is the highest buyer of Porsche and Ferrari, per capita, in the western world.

All very nice... I didn't know we were that particularly rich down here... but there's a serious omission - his report says nothing about SL's!

I thought they would slot quite nicely into the higher strata of ownership. But no, nary a mention.

I don't know whether that's good or not!

Ken, is the magazine comparing high performance super cars? I will not think the SL will be mentioned f that is the case. The SL is not to be compared with the Porsche and Ferrari since it is a blouevard cruiser and not a race car.

Good point elau, I had forgotten that the SL is really a sports "sedan"!
