Instrumentation and windows dead

Unusual, easily repairable? I'm scratching my head here. I had just pulled my 560SL out for a run today (it was functioning fine 2 days ago) and found that the fuel gage, oil pressure, speedo, tach, temp gage, and side windows not funtioning. There are a number of different fuses running these items, which are all okay. I've read something about ground cables on other postings in this forum .... anyone have any thoughts or experience? I hate chasing electrical problems as it could take 5 minutes or 5 weeks to fix. In my case it's usually the latter.

The common here is fuse F5. Replace fuse and clean the terminals that hold fuse. Then re-check.

Upon inspecting fuse #5, it appeared okay. For 85 cents, I replaced it and problem solved! Obviously appearances can be deceiving.

Thanks,

I always tell people that they should change all the fuses on the old MB's.

It is so cheap to do and it will solve all kinds of problems!

You really can look at one of the old style fuses -- think it is fine -- replace it anyway -- and bingo all is well again!
