Shift Knob
GS. Its the same shaft. all you do. Is cut away your orignal gearshift knob. With like a utility knife or something sharp. Cut it into 3 halves. Once you removed the shift knob. There a little metal disc. On top of the shaft. I belive you wiggle it back and forth. Till it breaks away. Once you do that. Slide the new knob over see where you want it to fit. Its going to sit a little high. you need to take a hack saw or die grinder. Cut away some of the shaft. Slide the new knob over. If its where you like it. Then get the new knob. Fill it up with hot glue. Slide it over the shaft. Thats it, let it sit for 1hr to cure. It looks awesome. I ran it like this on my 300,500E. A few of my friends run it on there 500E,s 190's etc. Its work great. And look great. They have a nice feel to them. Thats the only way you can get a late model sport shift knob to work on a earlier car .
Thats is with out buying a new one with a new shaft and shiftknob. Also disassemble your shifter housing.
