Wanted: W123 Grille

Looking for a grille to replace the dented one on a newly acquired '85 300CD. Thanks for your time.

I have an '83 CD, and I THINK the grille is a

little bit different from the ones on my other W123s...maybe something you can check.

Seems that somebody was parting out a CD here not too long ago.

If it's not the grille shell, but only the "honeycomb" part that needs fixing, think that is a simpler matter.

The grill is three major parts- the metal outer frame, the plastic inner grey "baffle" which has aluminium trim pieces, and the star. The baffle comes out and can be repainted to look good- Do you need just the frame? I could pick one up in the yards for you for cheap- gotta wait till the weekend to find one however.

Thanks for the info. I have a dent in the frame near the top and cracks in the inner piece so I need everything but the hood ornament. Is there a difference between the grille on a 123 sedan and coupe? Thanks.

CD, D and TD all have the same part # for the grille- so It looks like they are the same, and thus interchangable. New ones are about $350 from the dealer or $100 from aftermarket parts houses. I can get one for you this weekend from the yards in perfect shape for $60 to your door. Pm me.
