FS Engine/ tranny what's it worth??
 

Got the engine and tranny pulled from the 79 wagon W123 this evening.....Both have about 215k on them. Engine does NOT have IP, starter, or alternator. Also missing injectors and glow plugs....Didn't drive the wagon so don't know history on tranny...Fluid looks good...Located in Portsmouth, Va. Need info on what you think they'd be worth...

Will be pulling the engine/ tranny out of the 81 300SD on Monday, it has about 240k on it....This engine missing injectors, fuel lines, alternator. Otherwise I think it's complete, will know more when I pull it out....

PM me with offers on both of these. Prefer local pickup, but would be willing to crate them for a fee....

without seeing them run, its hard to say. I may have some of the missing parts lying around here somewhere

Thanks John, once I get the motor out of the 300SD, since it has the starter on it, will turn it over and see how it sounds....I think all it needs to run is all the fuel lines, injectors, and glow plugs....Glow plug relay is gone, but I'm not going to run it in the car no ways...Guess I'll tie the oil cooler lines together as the radiator is gone...

I figure the motor from the 79 would be good for someone to rebuild since it's non turbo, as opposed to the turbo from the 81 SD...

if youre coming up saturday, ive got everything for the SD engine, injectors, alternator (needs a voltage regulator), hard lines, etc

had a 617 blow up and its now a donor :)

i could use a SD trans if its good. save me the trouble of rebuilding mine.


How did you end up with these cars?

Well the SD was given to me. A local guy had it sitting in his sister's driveway for some time, he took the mirrors off. He had planned to pull the engine and tranny but had not gotten around to it, and his sister said it HAD to go....The wagon I got from another member on here, mainly for the windshield and some other blue interior parts for mine...The windshield is ready to pull out of it btw..Didn't use it in mine..Wife opted for a new windshield instead...I have a lead on a 77 300D that has been garaged for about 6 years, don't know much details about it yet....I've seen a few sitting here and there locally as welll...
