WTB e420 transmission diagnosis manual

Okay, I plan to overhaul my transmission. The numbers stamped on the tranny is 124 270 0302 722 366 03946215

Where can I purchase a good detail transmission manual for rebuild?

I recently changed the transmission fluid and notice it was dark and metallic. Today after I reverse out of my driveway and arrived at the store I put the car in reverse and the car begin to shudder. I later arrived home and my reverse did not engage. I had to rev the RPM pretty high in order to creek the car into the garage while in reverse. B-3 clutch I suspect is gone or going . Thanks for any suggestion.

Same thing happened to member fz500sel - he was advised to get another transmission.
I'm afraid that my 420 is starting to exhibit signs of old age.

Looks like the 722.366 trans definitely has a finite life, and it's not as long as we would wish.

Any available transmission service manual

I am gearing up to pull transmission. Is there any available service manual for the job. I would like to be able to get diagrams on this tranny. Thanks

Well, I asked if it was a 722.3 just to be sure. Let me assume it is, (pretty sure it is).
I have a trans manual that cover the 722.3, COULD photocopy and snail mail it. BUT I'm pretty sure the same info would be at www.startekinfo.com . you could sign up for 24 hrs there and print it off the net, might be easier and faster that way.
