1983 290E Is this a 123 chassis?
Newbee Trying to Identify this, and cannot find it listed in the parts manuals, I found one in a junk yard today, and laying in the front seat was a brand new pair of rear springs that I can get for $45.00! I would like to install them into my 1983 300cd, but I cannot find the 290 listed anywhere. Is this the Euro version? Is that what the "E" after the 290 stands for? Also it had the complete first aid kit for $25.00. Is this a good price? Couldn't get into the trunk to see what goodies were there, it used to have a gasser, but it was no longer there, dash has been removed, but most of the interior was still there (Brown) but it was in poor shape, and alsodid not have power windows

I swear that it had a 290E on the trunk, I will check again when I go back. Does anyone know what the first aid kit is worth? It appears to be intact.

First aid kit and springs
$45 for a pair of junkyard springs does not sound like a particularly good deal. Neither does $25 for a first aid kit. At the junkyards around here, I would hope to walk out with the springs and the first aid kit for about $25-30 total.
My 2 cents, SteveM.

The rear springs were brand new, had never been installed, got the pair for $45.00, I let them keep the first aid kit, but did pick up the euro lights for $10.00
