I am interested in buying a Becker BE980 CD Changer for my 93 Mercedes. Please email the price and conditions of the Changer at tigor88@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance!

I too am interested in a BE980 CD changer for my BE 1432 cassette/radio. After Tigor gets his :-) I'd like to get the next one that becomes available. Thanks

Guys I got my Becker 980 on e-bay for about $325.00...you might try looking there
But a word of advice....those are not the most reliable CD changers out there...someone told me there was an adaptor that you could buy to make the 1432 head unit accept the signals from an Alpine unit that MB used in later years
If you buy a used one get a guarantee from the seller...mine had to be sent back to Becker to be serviced for $180.00(paid for by the seller) and I was given a 90 day warranty by Becker
But anything that happens the unit has to be sent back to them...two things you WILL learn how do with this changer
1. Pull the fuse to reset it
2. Pry the CD magazine out of the unit

good luck

Turnne1:

Thanks for the "heads up" (pun sort of intended). I too had heard/read that the BE980 was somewhat problematic. I had also heard/read that there is an adaptor to mate an Alpine CD changer to the BE 1432 head unit. I'll look into that and post here.

Thanks again.
