I know that one of you guys know where i can either get a used 5-speed manual tranny or get mine rebuilt for a 1986 W124 300e. Thanks fellas!

If anybody finds one of those, there is a 100% chance they are keeping it!

Visit your local internet-connected bone yard and they can find one for you. But expect to PAY. These do not get parted out frequently like auto boxes.

Last time I checked I could get: regular W124 5spd - +/-$1950, Getrag 5spd - $2900.

And those prices are salvage.

Two years ago, when Larry Thomas, owner of the MB Garage died they sold for scrap two Euros, one a 124 and the other a 126 chassis, BOTH had FIVE (5) speeds in them! Too bad, I had no room for either one of them! When it rains it pours!
