WANTED: Good differential for '68 220
Hey, folks:
You might have read my earlier posts about the weird friction noise coming from the rear of my '68 220 gasser. Well, I finally got a shop to take a look at it and guess what? It's not the driveshaft, bearings, brakes, u-joints, etc. It's coming from the differential. And it's getting worse. So...anybody got a line on where I can get a decent used diff for my car? Quickly? Feel free to private message me if you've got a lead. I may post a wanted ad in the parts section here, too. Thanks in advance.

I replaced the diff in my '71 220 gasser with the 3.07 unit out of my '83 300Dturbo when I installed a 2.83 ratio in it.
If you have a manual tranny in your 220 you may want to consider this swap as it lowers engine revs substantially yet the car still accelerates fine. If you have an automatic you'd best forget this kind of swap!
