No first-hand experience, but I see claims that they have OEM approved materials etc., what? Plastic. NO DOT approval, nor EEC, just bulbs in reflectors, ... further, if you know how 124 lights mount, you will notice that these will not mount properly with no way to insert the outside-end screw, the corner lights are in the way, and no clip to mount the corner lights.

Looking at the general quality of design, it would follow that the light output would be equally inadequate. That plus the lack of approval of any authority governing light output, they are not legal for on-road use and probably good for nothing but bling and glare. No way to properly secure and aim the lights. I mean look at these things! Lights screwed into cheap vac-formed backs to form "light assemblies"!!

Also, no warranty, it is in the text, and if you do get them to issue an RMA for a return, unless the box is un-opened you lose a "15% restocking fee" and the (minimum) $44 shipping.

My opinion having designed lights, SAE member, long-time Euro light fan, etc. I Always change my lights, but to better ones, not worse ones that simply look unique.

These are the appropriate quality for a Civic at best. Please, you bought a quality car, it deserves quality lights. At least legal and effective ones.

Wow Jeff....wasn't expecting a slagging off !
I wish I could have got all that info' from the eBay ad.

Okay....okay ....I hadn't thought about it that much...I have seen cars/vans etc in Europe with these projector lights and ( although from a OE manufacturer )
I thought they looked good.

But, if what you say is even close, impuning the quality of these..I'll look for a set of Bosch/Hella etc Euro lamps.

Euro's for a 1992 124 would not be DOT though, right?

Correct, not DOT, it will have an E in a circle, that is the EEC or E-code, the approved European headlamp.

I have not had DEPO or others yet, last time I bought new Bosch was still available for 124s, since I need another pair I hope that they still are, but I agree that paying twice as much is painful. Worse still is buying the wiper assembies for the German 124 lights, I beieve I paid around $350 for the wiper motor/assemblies in '93!! Can't justify that one again.

As lame as the US lights look (IMO), at least I can aim 'em. I am tempted to look for Euro 500E lights though.
