Wanted - Complete 5-speed setup for W201 (190E or D). - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I'm looking for all the parts needed to convert an auto-trans 190D into a 5-speed car. I have done this swap before, and have a good idea of which parts I'll need. I can work with either a "diesel" or a "gasser" tranny, along with all the related parts (pedal cluster, master and slave cyls, shifter and rods, driveshaft, crossmember, all hoses, flywheel, flex disk, and small parts.

I would prefer face-to-face pickup somewhere in the Midwest, but could arrange shipping for anywhere else.

I have every thing you need for the convertion. How much are you willing to paid for it?

I'm currently working on a deal with another seller, but if that falls through, I'm certainly interested in what you have to offer.

What are you asking for the complete setup, and where are you located? I'm willing the pay the lowest amount that I have to in order to buy a complete setup.

There was a complete 190D w/5 speed at a junkyard in Belleville, IL a few weeks ago. Dunno if they still have it, but see my old posts if you want to try contacting them. I believe the yard is called "Pauley's." They're quite cheap.

Thanks for the heads up on "Paule's". I've never been there. Is it a self-serve type of yard, or a "walk up to the counter" type of place? This past weekend, I did some junkyard searching and saw 2 190 E's at the Speedway junkyard in Madison, or Granite City, or wherever it is geographically located on the East Side. Both of those cars were automatics, and had been picked over (I did some of the picking myself).

Pauley's is a U-Pull-It yard (you can do in and remove parts yourself). The negative, of course, is that the cars get pretty beat up with folks ripping things out. The 190D had had its dash shredded. Another forum member checked on the car (search for my thread on the parts car) and they were offering to sell the whole car on the cheap, as I recall.

They do crush cars frequently, though, so it may already be gone. This yard is in Belleville, just west of the fairgrounds. Easy to find if you know the area or just ask around!
