As many of you may remember, The timing chain broke on my 1983 300D, a few months back. I pulled the engine and tranny and disassembled the engine before winter stopped my work. I am finding it hard to find the time to fix this car and have decided to see if anyone would like to purchase HER.
Here is what I know to be wrong with this car.
1 Needs a head, timing chain,etc. 2 trans flairs. 3 Needs a new A/C pump. 4 Small rust spot below rear window.
Here is what is GOOD.
1The dash is NOT cracked. 2The seats are in nice shape. 3 The PO had put new rotors and brake lines put on at last brake job. 4 Body is in nice condition. 5 Tires are all in good shape. 6 Had good compression. and started easily.This is a nice car.
The car is silver with blue MB TeX interior. It dose not have a sun roof.
As I mentioned, I am finding it hard to find the time to finish the work. But the main reason that I am selling her, is that when I bought her I commuted about 50 miles a day; but with my new job I only travel about 5 miles every few days, and that is know way to treat a diesel.
