I have a 1969 250 sedan 114 body for parts here in Tucson that is complete with very very minimal rust. It is white with burgundy interior. The rear seat back is toast from the sun, but the rest looks pretty good. The engine is stuck, and is oddly enough a 130 280SE motor. Looks like a dealer replacement with a big sticker on the valve cover explaining maintenence. I will post a link with pics if there is any interest. 300 bucks.

HI!

What do you mean the engine is STUCK? Doesn't work?

An MFI motor in a 114 sedan? I've been meaning to do that for years. I'd be very interested in seeing detailed pictures of that engine compartment.

Is there any evidence of cutting or other attempts to shoehorn it together.

Also, check out the wiring rather carefully (please). There are a handful of relays and things needed to run that motor, not to mention the addition of an electrical fuel pump in the rear and bigger fuel lines.

PS. Unless of course, it's carb'd M130V from a 280S or 280/8 and not the M130E from the 280SE.

Oh, NOW YOU ASK!!!
The car is at my freind's shop here in Tucson. It does in fact have the M130E engine, which is stuck (will not turn). This car has lots and lots of miles on it. It belonged to a customer of the MB shop who has been driving it since 1969. I have never seen an MB engine with a sticker on the valve cover telling which engine it is. Could this be a dealer replacement? It was definately running with this motor. It looks like it fits well in the engine bay.

I sat down with a tape measure once and felt that the intake manifold might well fit. There are two styles "short" and "long". At this point in time, I think it was a "long" manifold that I had and I was concerned about the fit.

Have you tried to unstick the motor with healthy dose of either tranny fluid or marvel mystery oil?

No,
I haven't tried to do anything with it. This car is at the MB shop that my freind owns. I sometimes list things on eBay for his customers and he thought that I might want this car for parts. I am looking for a 71-72 250 with an M130V, so I thought that I would see if anyone in the forum was interested. Here are some pics:

Un-stick it!!!

Chris!

That car looks nice!!

Soak that engine down with the tranny oil or that other stuff!!! That way, someone could buy it and drive it home!

Have you considered parting it out?? Sell the parts on Ebay!!! I could use some spare parts!!! :)
