Parting out 1986 190D 2.5 5-speed
Hey guys,
I'm parting out the subject car due to a lack of time to restore it and engine problems. The engine developed low compression and will not start cold. It is the lowest on the totem pole in my signature, and so it must go. The palomino interior is in pieces. The body panels are straight and rust free, but the PO had a cheap paint job done so there is some major peel going on, and everything in the paint gun's path got painted (rubber seals, bumpers etc). The car has some newer C230 rims on, Hella smoked tail lights, euro headlights and clear corners. I know my join date is very recent, but I became a member in 2005, and I must have been deactivated due to non-activity. Too many cars and not enough time!! All parts are available and I will send pictures+reasonable prices of whatever you want to see. Just keep in mind I am by myself when it comes to taking parts off. I would like to keep large items (tranny, seats, wheels, engine) local. I'm also putting this on Jacksonville Craigslist so its first come first serve. Sold: front bumper $20 passenger seat $25 A/C relay + spare $10 A/C control panel + several A/C spare parts $30 Engine RPM sender $15 Oil filters $10 Service manual on CD $10 Still lots of good parts available, just ask. Thanks!! Here are a couple pics.

Do you have the 4 piece anti-sound capsule that surrounds the engine? They should be thick plastic covers basically. One covers from the radiator till the tranny. If so, email me at vipergts_dodgeforums@yahoo.com

$650 for whole car
I don't have the engine encapsulation panels. They were not with the car when I bought it.
Nobody wants the 5-speed swap items? I'm selling the whole car on Craigslist for $650. Think of all those spare parts! New items include: shocks, coolant and washer reservoirs, 5 recently balanced injectors, chain and belt tensioners, molded dash cap, euro corners. Post your email address if you would like to see more pictures.

I can't wait! I will admit that towing was a bit fun though...the 190's don't have the same bumper mounts as 123's & 126's (vertical vs horizontal bumper bolt holes)...and I apparently left my towbar brackets on the 280CE that I scrapped. A little improvising and a Home Depot trip and I got it done. Not the best method, but it got the trick done. Once I was under way I made it to the rest stop on I-4 and decided it was time for a nap...and AAA. I didn't want to navigate all the turns in town and risk twisting the bumper mounts on the 190D so I called them up and 2 HOURS later at about 2 am the truck arrived. Nice nap and we were on our way. The tow truck driver was all ga-ga over my wife's wagon...especially after he found out it was T56's (6-speed). He didn't seem to notice the Mercedes. Hilarious. Nice guy though. He gave me a card and told me to just call him the next time I buy a car within 100 miles to give him a call. I will.
