The Interior is gray and in pefect condition except a few small cracks on the dash. The first owner was my freind and it was hit slightly in the right rear quarter panel. The paint is 90% with a few small surface rust starting to show and the hood has some stone chips. I will post som pics tonight.

Sorry to see you selling your car, Dave. Don't budge on that price now. The car is worth $7000 at low retail in good condition. The air conditioner costs under $2000 to completely replace and recharge with R134. (I know since I just had it done and they fixed the odometer as part of the job.) At your selling price you have already discounted the car enough and your buyer will get a great car. Be sure to point them to Mercedesshop.

How many miles could someone expect to get from the engine / tranny before a rebuild / new engine is in order? How much would either of those cost? I want a 300e with the 5 speed very much, I'm just concerned about the high mileage. [I know the diesels can go 300,000+ no problem if taken care of properly, I don't have any experience with the gas engined mbz's though.]

Seen diesels with 800k on original engine. Friend has a 500SEL with over 400k and original motor. My supposably 59K 560 had close to 200 on it. That 6cyl is bulletproof compared to an 8(in my opinion). $4500 is a steal if relatively nice.
