Lux.

Would a speedometer from an 89 300SEL work? May not look the same, but it would be 2 years younger.

I have a 160 mph speedo from a 420 SEL with the same 2.88:1 ratio as the 300SDL. PM me if you want it

I have utterly no idea if that would work. Have you compared the connections/diff. ratio to an SDL?

I have a way to find out. I pulled my instrument cluster last night and sent my speedometer\odometer off for repair. Maybe, I'll just pull the one out of that car and hook it up.

I didn't make it to that junkyard yesterday.........It's the yard that has a GRAY dash that I'm suppose to take pics for someone. I just hope EVERYTHING is intact when I get there.
