OK, here's the deal. I am thinking about selling my car. It's a Dark Blue 1993 MB 400E with 135,xxx miles. I am selling it because I want something smaller and I am a little bored with the car. I bought the car from a family friend 12 months ago with around 111,xxx miles.

Car has been a pleasure to own. Only problem was a power steering leak which was fixed by Smith Motorcars in Haverhill, MA. Brake rotors and pads were replaced ~8k miles ago. I had Bilstein Sport Shocks, Neuspeed lowering springs, and a Remus exhuast with dual square tips installed by Auto Design Haus in Boston, MA. Ride is unbelievable. Much tighter and flatter.

I had a Panasonic CD Head Unit installed. I can't remember the model number off the top of my head but it has the silver/glowing blue removable face. I had the 10 Disc changer removed because I prefer the single disc. All speakers are stock. Car has stock 8 hole rims wrapped with Pirelli P7000's (205s) with about 3-5k miles on them. I was planning on replacing 2 of the Blizzak winter tires (195s)this winter due to wear, the other 2 are on their way out (they came with the car). I also have 4 all season tires (195s) that I had before I put on the Pirellis.

I have all the parts that have been replaced except for the muffler. Stock Head Unit, 10 Disc Changer, Shocks, and Springs. I am looking to sell the car here first because I would like to sell it with all the modifications included. It would be a pain to have to return it to stock when an enthusiast could enjoy the mods. I know that I am not going to get back the money that I spent on the car.

I have pcitures of the car if anyone wants them. I can also give my honest review of the modifications if requested. As I said the car is great. I am not hiding anything. Ask any questions. I am asking $12,000obo. I am located 5 minuted outside of Boston, MA in Wellesley. I am really limited in my ability to travel to meet someone but I'm sure something could be worked out. I am going to college, running XC for my school, and working so time is limited. As you can probably tell, I am very passionate about my car. I have taken great care of it. I would hate to see it go to waste.

Can you post or send me some pictures of the car?

Anything not working 100%? Anything need to be done in the next 6-9 months? Has it ever been in an accident?

Any dents, dings, rips, stains, etc.?

Thanks in advance,
:-) neil

Fixed the link. This is to my photopoint site. Go to "the high life" for pictures with stock springs/shocks. Go to "the low life" for after pics.

This photo was taken in the winter (obviously). Since then I have installed clear corners and I removed the horizontal grille strips. I have the original amber corners in perfect condition.

As for dents there is right above the 400E badge on the trunk. It's the size of a golfball i'd say. It happened in February this year in a Blockbuster parking lot, it was a hit and run. There is a small dent on the front passenger side quarter panel, barely noticable.

The front spoiler is cracked in 2 places. I think the previous owner may have hit a curb when parking. Nothing major, you may be able to see it in the picture.

The interior is immaculate. Only imperfection would be in mats. They are a little stained. I treat the leather frequently. The steering wheel leather is getting worn and is cracking. Everything else is pretty much perfect.

The car has not been in any accidents. All body panels are in great condition.

The only problem I have seen mechanically is a problem starting in cold weather. It takes a few attempts to turn over when the temperature is 19F or less. I have only had this problem a few times.

Let me know if there are any more questions.
