Arrow Ml Clear European Lenses

Unfortunately I went to the dealer yesterday and sat in the 2002 ML500 and I fell in love with the headlights. I want to sell the headlights I bought from Europe. The European headlights include city lights, no orange strip on the side (clear corner), E-Code reflectors and all the bulbs, it's just plug n play, all factory holes and everything line up. I bought it for 448 Euro which equals to about $420.00 USD. I will also include the chrome headlamp rings that I put on there, I wont take them off. With shipping I can have it at your house anywhere in the United States for $375. There isn't anything damaged on it or scratches. I won't be able to sell them until I get the new pair. E-mail me at chris@esr-racing.com if you have any other questions.

-Chris

Hi Chris,

My feeling is that good lighting is the best safety feature next to seat belts. Having said that, I'm curious about your euro headlights on your ML. Are the lens and reflectors different than the DOT ones that came with the vehicle? If so, did you notice a dramatic improvement? Is there a separate high beam in addition to the low beam side? Was it easy to make the conversion?

Quite a while back, I think I came across a web site that sold a different lens for the ML, but not the reflector; but I could be wrong on this.

I too saw a new 2002 ML equipped with the new bi-mode(?) HID headlights (kind of a projector beam outside lamp with the inside lamp a high beam. Way cool! I wonder if these could be purchased and retro fitted to older MLs? Thanks.

Bill

Arrow RE:Euro Lenses for ML

The fixture is the same as the 98-2001 models, but the reflectors aren't DOT they are E-Code, the lighting is so much better than before. They shoot further out in front of you for driving comfortably at high speeds. They also come equipped with city lights which is the equivalent of parking lights in the US. They give the whole fixture a nice glow when you turn the headlight switch one click. All the bolts are the same and all the wireing harnesses are the same. All bulbs included! Just switch the 2 units.

I think I also have some nice blue H7 bulbs also that I can give you because I have the xenon conversion on my car.
