Need 103 Head

Rocker arm ass'y bolts broken off in mine. Could use RA ass'y and cam but not absolutely necessary. Please let me know. Email: jshadley@embarqmail.com

Sorry I can't help with another head (sold it attached to the engine), but how bad are the broken bolts (he asked foolishly)? Remove head (you're going to do that anyway) and find a machine shop familiar with M103 heads, see what they can do...remove the broken bits, install thread inserts in all of them, do the normal valve job with guides and seals. Add head gasket kit plus the short water hose, maybe a chain, tensioner, and a water pump "while you're at it" and you're good to go another 150k+ miles.

Hi Hanno - This is what I was originally going to do when someone told me to look for a head instead (see "what did the mechanic do?!?! thread in tech help). What the mechanic did was put bigger, crappier bolts in where the others had broken off and did not repair the original problem (a friggin' lifter - $17.00). They hammered away for about 50 miles and finally broke - all four of them - in the head.
