Output Shaft/Used Transmission
If anyone has taken apart a manual transmission, I'd like the output shaft and the accommpanying flange and nut. I have an '83 W123 240D, I'm not sure what other model transmissions have the same shaft. If you are in eastern/central MA I would be willing to take the whole transmission.

You mean the yoke on the outside?
They come in three sizes to match the diameter of the drive shaft. The nut should be picked up new, as it's not reusable. But it's like 10$. There's also a small oring inside the yoke. replace that too. Lastly, there's a small shim that you shouldn't loose and it's easy to miss. -CTH |

Has anyone even parted out a transmission?

In case anyone hasn't looked at this thread yet: does anyone have or know about a standard transmission for a w123 in or near Boston? I'll drive as far as 50 miles from Concord.
