107 Instrument Cluster, Seat, Green Wire, etc.,

I've got several items for a 107 SL that I can stand to part with:

- Nice electronic instrument cluster for sale. Showing 83k on the odometer.
- Passenger seat for an 86-89 560SL. Excellent condition. Has the wing type seat bottom and back on it. Black leather.
- Green wire. Goes from the distributor to the ignition control unit. These are no longer available from Mercedes.
- SL tail light assemblies for both left and right rear. These are not in perfect condition, but are certainly usable.
- Several electronic black boxes--climate control units, kickdown switch
- Ice cube relays
- Used distributor
- Used coil

Reply or PM if interested.

Should also add...

I also have an alternator and a steering wheel. The steering wheel doesn't have the center piece.

Got both rear axles and an A/C compressor, too. Believe I have a headlight assembly in the attic, but can't recall if it's left side or right. If you're interested, I'll climb up there and check.

As other items come to mind, I'll add them to the list. I've got quite a collection of used parts and the SL is in for an engine rebuild. Wouldn't hurt to add a few extra bucks to the kitty to help ease the sting of the cost. At the dealership, my mechanic estimates $15,000 to $17,000 to do it the way it's being done. Book is ~60 hours of labor and the local rate is $105.00/hr, plus they hit you for a 10% shop charge on top of that. My cost is nowhere near that.

Somehow I managed to break a ring, which scored a cylinder wall. Had to ship the block to RennTech, which is down in West Palm Beach, to have the cylinder bored out and an oversize piston fitted. These guys know how to condition the cylinder wall. Something about using nitric acid to eat away the top coat of aluminum, which then leaves a silicone coat. Pretty cosmic stuff if you ask me.

If you need an oversize piston, believe I know where you can find one. Mercedes stock is depleted.
