Where can I get a rear windshield for a 84 300Sd??? A few years back there was a parts dealer and junk yard north west of Atlanta that had a stack of then but now that I need one I cannot find one to save myself. Safelight gave me a quote and I agreed but after they removed my original one the discovered that their replacement would not fit, now I am screwed. They cut down one and it is in but the trim will not go back on and I think that it might come out at hi speed. I am willing to drive to get it on the east coast, prefer to the south this time of year.

I will have to get the part number off my SD - there is another that will fit BUT you have to change the leads for the heated windshield and it also has the built in radio antenna.

Are they putting the trim on (the glass) before they place the back glass in? It is a little tricky. The FSM shows the proper install procedure.

the price is reasonable, which im surprised.

The new one with the radio antenna would not fit. They ended up taking 1/2 inch or more off the side to get it in and yes they put the trim in before the glass but it popped outon the way home.
The dealer wants $850 + for theit glass.
85 was the last year for the short 126 the later 126 was 18 inches + longer.
