Nice W123 dash forsale

A forum member got his hands on a nice black W123 dash with one crack. I was going to buy it but changed my mind when I got a shiping quote from Portland, OR to Jax, FL. So now im going to help him sell it.

The dash is the late style texture with the clmite sensor in the top of the dash, NO IDLE KNOB.

There is one small crack at the passenger side speaker, otherwise its perfect.

I have included a few pics but please email the seller at for more information.

He also has a nice W123 console.

Is the dash soft and squishy or hard and brittle? Does it come with the a key and/or valet key for the glove box?

Not all Greyhound bus terminals deal with cargo.

Needs to be convenient to both buyer and seller.

Dash received. Not exactly "soft and squishy" but not quite rock-hard, which is actually pretty good for something that has to be 25 years old. It's much more than I expected -- one tiny crack I can epoxy before painting, plus the seller included all four working a/c vents plus the rubber boot that connects the two middle vents, the glove box and door (no key but I'll be swapping in my lock anyway), much of the mounting hardware, two climate control vacuum pods, emergency brake release pull handle, the little temp sensor grille in the center of the dash, etc. 'Twas a good deal.

Now I've got to find a 123 dash-pulling DIY and decide how many vacuum pods to replace. The dash will be painted with SEM's "Shadow Blue," which is a very close match for the Mercedes dark blue in the 123 and 124 models (my '87 is also this color; I painted an '89 black dash blue and it looks super in my '87).

Did you ever find a dash tutorial?

I am looking at buying a 1983 300tdt with a cracked dash. I can't find anything that will give me a sense of whether this is something I will be able to do myself. I found this, http://www.ehow.com/how_7890963_remove-w123-dash.html,
but I do better with videos. Any leads? Thanks!
