Anybody have a vacuum pump (single tube type) to sell. I also need the cam plate directly behind the pump.

I guess I should have given that info. Its a 1984 300SD.

You are looking for the front mechanical vacuum pump. What is the cam plate??? Jim

The cam plate is the flat plate behind the pump that actuates the pump. It is a round disc with two ramps built on it that the vacuum pump roller rides on.

'Could this be a Part of the "Timing Device" ?

#615 234 00 44 (number 26 in the pictogram?)

[If your "Ramps" are worn or "Boogered" you're probably looking @ replacing the whole "Timing Device"
(Other than a Catastrophic VP Failure the only other Wear cause is the Bushing, number 41 in the Pictogram)
[When worn it causes the whole Timing Device System to "Wobble".]

The Bushing MAY still be available as a single part(You might have to inquire of
European suppliers like Speed Autoteile...)

My vacuum pump bearings failed causing my vacuum pump roller to wear out the ramps on the cam plate which is 26 in the picture. The plate is easily replaced by removing two bolts.
