I need to make room for a 500E, so my beloved commuter-mobile must go! I bought the car in '97 with around 65k on the odometer. It now has 125k (just getting broken in, don't ya know). I commute 75 miles a day over a nice 2 lane at 60mph, so these miles have been very easy on this car. It is every bit as tight as when I bought it. The Michelin MXV4s have about 20k on them. I just had a major service done a couple months ago. Regularly change oil at around 4k. I average over 24mpg on my commute and can easily get 28mpg on trips. Car is unmodified, including the Becker stereo (sorry). This car is truly a clean, tight example belying the miles. Located in middle Georgia.

Just a friendly reminder - this great car is still available1 I now have my 500E, and I DON'T like the 400E sitting outside the garage, so someone needs to snap up this great car. I have had lots of local calls, but folks not familiar with Mercedes have this aversion to cars with over 100k miles. I have to stress, this car has had the right combination of daily use and easy use. It really is one of the most smooth E-class I have driven. Folks also don't understand why this is a thousand or so more expensive than the 300Es they have been looking at. Because the V8 version is that much better!
