Need more room to haul kid-related stuff,
so I have decided to sell my beloved 85 300D....

Details:

1985 300D Diamond Blue with Blue MB-Tex 185,000 miles.

All service up to date. Have owned the car for about a year now and it has been very reliable and comfortable. I have put 25k
miles on it in the last 11 months. We have another child on the way next month, so we need a bigger car. I have found an 85
300SD that should fit the bill....

During my ownership, I have repaired/replaced the following items (mostly myself, some of the harder jobs were done by Precision Motorcars in Cincinnati). All maintenance is up to date. The car is VERY CLEAN. I changed the oil last weekend (Mobil 1 10W30) and so it is good -to-go for another 5k. (I usually use Delvac 1300, but with the onset of colder weather, I switch to synthetic, it really helps starting in REALLY cold weather).

THE GOOD:

New Auxiliary Electric Fan
Hella H4 Headlamps (what an improvement!)
Replaced all drive belts.
Valves Adjusted 5k miles ago.
Replaced Steering Pump w/ rebuilt unit.
Added Freon and Dye, no leaks found yet. Blows COLD!
Brakes: Front Rotors, Front Pads (Last Weekend), Rear Pads, Fluid.
Tranny Fluid and Filter (25k ago)
Driveshaft Support Bearing and Carrier
Front Wheel Bearings
Tires: Michelin Rainforce MX4 (25k miles old)
Rebuilt both front seats (spring box and pads)
Replaced all fuel return lines, both fuel filters.
Replaced Coolant and Thermostat, added watter wetter
Replaced Rear Diff Oil
New Glow Plugs
Driver's Side Door Check Straps (Front and Rear)

THE BAD:

The bad part about this car is that there is some rust.
Driver's side rear wheel arch has a bubble, passenger's
side rear wheel arch is corroding. Jack holes are pretty solid, although one is worse than the others. I keep the rust sprayed with Extend every couple of weeks and that really slows it down.

THE PRICE:

$3200 or best offer. This car is a solid driver and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Like I said earlier, I have put
25k miles on it in the last 11 months. Gets 24/25 mpg consistently. ALDA is adjusted to provide plenty of boost and this car really scoots (for a diesel). The paint is very
shiny and I just hand waxed it again yesterday.

Contact me at chris.blanchard@fuse.net for further details!

Thanks!

Chris Blanchard
