Donkey-- About the Mirror

I was just wondering if you had shipped it out last monday as it isn't here yet (normally it takes about this long for ground shipping). But as long as it's here by Friday I'll be set.

Also, I was up at the Mercedes Dealer ordering the parts needed to mount the Mirror, there are 2 mounting plates, a big screw, a little plate thingie that mounts between the inner plate and the trim plate, and the Knob/ trim plate.

I know I need the Trim plate and Knob ($10, no biggie) but I wasn't sure about the mounting plates. The Inner Mounting plate was $17 which, if I need it I'll get, it's also no biggie. But the Outer Mounting plate was $76 which mounts the mirror to the car. I ordered it, but I dunno if I'm willing to shell out $76 for the outer plate.

Anyways, I was just msging you to see what all you shipped to me cause there seems to be more then "3 screws and a trim plate" that you said was what I had to do.

(I have the exploded diagram of the mirror assembly infront of me)

As long as it's here by mid next week I'll be happy.

Although It's not very reasuring to know that you've had a week to send it out after recieving my check. Next time I buy something from you I hope that it'll be sent when I'm told it will.

For those reading this thread

I just got done talking with Donkey.

We got the mirror problem all ironed out. He's a very nice guy to talk with and was helpful in explaining what I needed to get/do to install the passenger mirror. If y'all need something Donkey is definetly someone to try. I wouldn't have a single problem going to him for something agian in the future.

Thanks a lot Donkey, I really appreciate all you've done to help me out, I sent you an email asking if you had an extra Power window switch laying around that you could toss in there. I remembered that my window wasn't going down as a result of that switch when I went out to the car to get something I forgot.

heh, if you don't find one, it's alright sending the parking brake release was more then enough to make up for the minor delay.

I put it on and went driving to get it adjusted properly.

It's different then what I'm use to because it doesn't have the "Objects are closer then they appear" thingie

My 300D now looks perfect
