WTB: W123 Coupe Euro Bumper / Chrome / 3 Piece

hey all, i'm looking for a nice set of W123 Coupe Bumpers. the all chrome wrap around three piece kind. i'm hoping to get some that come with the brackets and hardware too, everything to get them right on the car when i get them in the mail. let me know a price plus shipping to 14817. i know it's a PITA to ship stuff like this, let's talk about a price that includes something for your troubles. it's best to reach me by e-mail these days: denimwolf@gmail.com. thanks!

pretty sure the 3 piece euros are the same for coupe and sedan front and rear, the wagon rear is different

the euro coupe bumpers are all chrome and wrap all the way around the car to the sides. they appear as one piece when looking at the car. the euro sedan bumpers are one solid piece along the front and rear only. on the sides are black rubber "sleeves" that complete the look of going around the sides, much like the U.S. versions only the rubber pieces are much smaller. sometimes coupe bumpers ended up on sedans, don't know if that was euro factory or not. the wagons had the same euro sedan bumper on the front, and the same look of the euro sedan bumpers on the rear but they have spaces molded in them for the back up lights that are on every w123 wagon. it's this rear wagon euro bumper that might be even more rare than the euro coupe bumpers.

euro coupe rear:

euro rear wagon:

sedan euro front and rear:

i'm in negotiations for a front euro coupe bumper, anyone have a nice, complete rear bumper?

I dont believe there is a distinction as they are pretty much interchangable in the front. There is a 3 piece euro , a 1 piece euro with rubber ends and a US version which is a big one piece with rubber ends. I have seen the 3 piece front on coupes, sedans and wagons thats why when you said coupe front it didnt make sense to me.

the 3 piece euro has chrome ends as shown in your pics, there is a small bracket on each end to bolt the end to the fender, the middle is bolted to the frame same as all other models minus the shocks which are US only. Most of them have a big hunk of metal in them to make the US standard 5 MPH impact. There is a flat rubber filler on the top of the bumper ends that goes to the body under each headlight.

You're right! Some of these Ebayers are insane, but I really like that one guy who is trying to sell a bunch of used so-called euro stuff, He has pistons and a crankshaft that, "Fits 280E, 230, etc." It must be a magic crank!

The 3-piece and 1-piece euro bumpers are not a matter of sadan/no sedan, but rather a matter of model. The 280E/CE and 230/230C came with the 3-piece. All the wagons and diesels came with the 1-piece. And I don't remember if the 250 came with the 3-piece or not.

that makes sense because my 3 peice euro front bumper came from a euro gasser sedan. I made $150 on the cluster on that car but I didnt know to get the rear headrests when I saw them, I went back but they were long gone.

Adam, the bumpers are packed. Check your email. I'll send them out next Saturday. Need to borrow my mother's 300TE, they won't fit in my 300D.

You're welcome, Adam! I hope you find a way around the rear bumper.

Just drop me a line if you have questions on fitment.

I notice that you know alot about w123's. Will the rear coup bumper fit on a wagon? The all chrome ones? Is it possible to make them work. I like the look of them and was thinking about cutting the reverse holes for the lights into them.

Any help would be great,

thx
