I have a pair of headlights off of an '89 560sel. Headlight doors are a little faded, let me know if you are interested.

Those euro's above would look alot better though lol

Some months ago I bought a lovely set of Euros for this 85 SD. A few days ago we tried to install and found the plugs different. I found the plugs on the SD to be one wire short compared to the Euros. can anyone explain what to do about this?

I thought they were pretty much plug and go.

It's been 5 yrs since I put euros on my 300SD; you need a set of *taillight* plugs from a W123/126. They have the right spacing/pin count. You take the housings apart and re-pin using the US light wires/pins in the former taillight socket. I don't recall which pin goes where; but if you have a spare taillight plug, take a look and you'll see... it's actually a Euro headlamp plug! I was parting out my '83 300D when I bought the Euros so it was an easy trick for me...

Thanks guys for the responses. I remember now about the tail light plugs!;)

The euro lights have a small 4w lamp in them for the parking light (euro cars don't have the parking light as part of the turn signal). You can get the source for this, the city light, from the turn signal.

I put 10w lamps in my fixtures, and left the US parking lights connected.

We got the headlights working yesterday but failed in our efforts to get the parking lights working and the driving lights.

Those euros look pretty sweet!
