WTB - 84 300TD (wagon) back/reverse lens & anteanna

That's pretty much it. I'm looking for a 'back up lens' and a retractable antenna assembly for my 1984 300TD wagon.

EDIT: I got a lens. I only need an antenna.

The lens is the clear one that mounts to the bumper on wagons. For the antenna, I am looking for a complete assembly with motor that is somehow tested and known to be operating correctly with an undamaged retractable antenna.

I'll subscribe to this thread so I should get email notifications of replies. Or you can speed things up by sending me a PM with your price with shipping and PayPal linked email address, and I will shoot the first person with the right part at a fair price the funds via a quick PayPal payment.

To calculate shipping, I live Leander, TX, 78641

Thanks!
-Steve

Hi Steve -

Both the backup lens and the antenna are common to all years of US-destined W123 wagons. The backup lens is easy and I'm sure someone will send you one for a reasonable price. The antenna is a total pain in the ass. Those are the metal-body hirschmann 6000 EL antennas I think, for which parts other than the mast are no longer available. I've considered trying to do a mast/shaft transplant between a dead wagon antenna and a later model Hirschman antenna for which parts are available.

********** has a "replacement" hirschman antenna that I purchased and returned because I didn't like the cheesy plastic exterior. However, it would have fit and it would have worked.

I have a couple of wagon antennas in the garage. Once I move all my crap out of the way I'll give them a test drive. Film at 11.
