On the search for some Tri-Y's for my '89 560 SEL.
Feel free to PM if you have some! Thanks! |

Someone had some AMG versions posted here a bit back. Tri-y's are just as rare it seems. GL with the search. I've found and sold four pairs in the last six years- two for the 107 chassis and two for the w126 chassis.

There are a few NOS AMG and Replica headers around now that are BEAUTIFUL .... but just a little out of my budget for the moment. Sadly, when ones have come up that where just a bit more in my range I missed the boat!

Yes those AMG's are $. When I find sets they tend to go for less than that, but that tells me I'm selling well below market value.

I am very tempted by the AMG's, but when it all comes down to it I don't NEED AMG specific Tri Y's .... but if I was going to pay near that price they would HAVE to be. And thus starts the vicious cycle. |

Those genuine AMG headers and downpipes on ebay are actually mine. If you're a serious buyer, I can negotiate with you outside of ebay. I've not seen another complete set of authentic AMG headers sold anywhere.. and the last set (minus downpipes) went for the ebay price,

They are really hard to find. Just sold my set recently, don't see them for sale very often.

Just to be sure ... Right hand and left hand drive are not interchangeable correct? I do have family in Europe and can relatively easily grab a set but they are from right hand drive cars.

I believe that is correct as the downpipes are different depending on where the steering is.

I have not been able to confirm whether AMG spec headers are compatible with both LHD/RHD. The AMG design differs from that of the OE in that the two Y's per side exit straight back over the bell housing. The OE design straddles the steering box.
