WTB: W126 Dash

Looking for a W126 dash from a grey interior. Prefered if it came from a Euro spec car without the passenger airbag. Must be clean and crack free.

Isn't the dash the same with or without airbag, it's just different stuff bolted to it?

@Compu, idk. A friend used a US airbag dash in a Euro non-airbag car and said it was a huge pain.

@Hogweed, I am still interested. I'll shoot you a pm to see if it will make sense for both of us. Thanks!

I'm by no means an expert, but I did remove a dash from a 560SEL with an airbag. I removed the airbag and the bracket that is behind it. On comparison It looks identical to the dash with the glove box. Just my two cents.

^^^ Exactly. Except it is missing the bottom crossmember for the glovebox door. I do believe you can cut out one from the a glovebox dash and graft it in an airbag dash.

I guess that is what I would like to avoid. I have to do some modification anyway because it is going into a Euro car without the small bolster or change cups under the steering wheel.

I have noticed that the dash from a diesel doesn't have that either so opening this up to diesel cars with a grey interior.

Those differences are just on US cars w/ airbags. Go for an 84 or old US car and the under dash trims are the same as europe.
