I have some blue front seats that are in decent condition. Where are you located?
Thanks,

Shane

Great, do you have a price in mind? Im in south eastern Va, shipping shouldnt be to bad if thats an option for you. If its not, or its to high, I may be able to day trip it down to you. I think youre about 4 hours from me....I went to college in Hickory, NC years ago and I made the trip many times! Thanks, Mike

You should specify what year w123 you both have. The early and late seats have different cushion profiles (I am not certain but I think '84 was the crossover year) and there are two styles of ribbing and mbtex.

Thank you and great point, Im still learning about these 123s.... I have an '80 300TD wagon. But honestly, as long as they will bolt in, and arent ripped or worn out I dont care what style they are

I know someone who has a set of nearly mint W123 blue front seats from a 240D, not sure of year, but it's towards the end of the production years of the W123. Let me know if you're interested and I will get his contact information. Shipping would be from sunny SC. And yes, there is a difference in seats. Some have 5 pleats and others have 6 and the MB Tex does look different.

rdgarzon, thank you for the reply but Im going to pass on the blue/grey./ I have the 'coco' brown floor mats and tan bamboo seat cover things so Im going to stick with blue. I was considering changing the carpet AND seats to Palomino or tan and having blue/tan interior, but if i can get my hadns on decent blues, thats what I'll go with.

greazzer, Im very interested. My seats have 5 pleats, but as I said Im really not that particular with this car, so a small diff in color and # of pleats doesnt bother me. The PO changed the upper portion of the drivers seat with a light tan....so anything will look better!!

Im in Gloucester, Va zip 23072. I have a loading dock and forklift for shipping purposes.....maybe Yellow Freight? I guess we can see how much he wants to start....

Hoping to hear from disqo also....

Hey Draglink,

I think your best bet is just to buy the seat covers and not the whole seat. They are VERY easy to take off and put back on. Once you get them off, I strongly suggest you add another spring as there is a slot for it and you can use the MB OEM metal clips to tie the spring into the "springs" that go laterally accross the seat. You can also buy on this forum a foam insert that goes into the spring. Also, I have a set of Palamino, bottom and top which is almost perfect. No tears, rips, cracks, et cet -- just fading. It is already on a rebuilt spring bottom. I was going to use it in my car but my car got totaled and I am getting a different car which has a blue interior as well. That is why I am selling it. Also, you can buy a quart of dye from Varikote 888 - 702- 0778 $99 and it will make the inside look great depending on what color you settle with. Let me know. You could ship seat covers for about $20.

I've got better-than-new navy-blue seats with high-density foam from a '75 280 114 body, which I understand will fit into 123's--e-mail me for photos--thanks and good luck

greazzer- thanks for the offer, but my passenger side upper cushion part needs help, and the upper driver side is off of a later model power seat, so it doesnt fit exactly right. Need to be replaced unfortunately.

kraakevik- email sent
