After talking with my wife about it and thinking it over I AM going to part out this car.

So starting today, I'll completely disassemble it and move the parts into my storage building. This way I can take good pictures, and tell whats good etc. Plus it allows me to take the remaining body off to the scrap yard and get some cash. Which will help me pay for the body/paint work that's being done to the TD right now. (Should be done this coming week!)

I'll make a list of available parts here once I have them off the car.

As to the visors, mine are good, except for the mirrors. The doors are missing. and looks like the mounts for them are broken. So I'm doubting anyone would want them.

Ok, parting out for sure. Need the cash to work on my other cars.

Parts that are gone...
Engine, monvalve, ignition switch, secondary heater pump, radiator, blower motor. Windshield, window regulators, Climate control. These are all parts I'm putting aside for my 82td as backups. Hood latch, grill. Headlight covers, overflow.

Everything else is available. Fenders are fine, only rust on car is a quarter sized spot starting on rear drivers quarter. All trim bumpers etc perfect.

Has a fully functional electric sunroof.

OR by what's left in total for 600 by saturday and bring something to pull it or load it up.
I will take 400 for all the seats, perfect, no rips, fading scratches, again they are blue.

You can have the entire rolling body for 450. Sans fenders doors etc. 450 is what the local scrapper will pay me tomorrow for it. If no interest in body it will head to said scrapper Saturday.

Do you have the First Aid Box that sits in the rear window deck?

Do you have an intact zebrano center console that surrounds the shifter?

Thanks,

Mark

Spent the last 2 days stripping everything off the car. Was not able to save the windshield.. Dang thing cracked on me. Other than that, the ONLY thing left on the car is the gas tank.

Aux fan, seems ok, but holding on to it as a spare for my TD. The center console has hairline cracks in it and some idiot put a pair of screws in it to hold it down in back... Going to practice on it to refinish it and see how it comes out after I fill those 2 screw holes.

The Dash is a working 172k odometer. Even the clock was working when I pulled it. It's never had higher watt bulbs put in and is not burnt... The matching 85 Differential is out and sitting in my shop. I dropped it with the axels still attached. Boots all need to be replaced. Was thinking about putting it into the TD. But would sell the setup for the right offer.

Steering box is tight, no play. The TD's was just rebuilt and I just sold the CD, so It's up for grabs.

Pulled the fuel sender. Worked fine in the car.

Pulled all the trim. All in good shape. Even got the roof trim off in one piece, both sides.

good sunroof motor.

Piles of other various stuff I have not listed.

Last call on the body. It goes to the scrap yard tomorrow afternoon... Fully stripped, would make a great starting point for someone with a rusted out hulk...

Not to steal the thread, but the cruise on the '84 wagon part-out DOES work!

Also has the '85 vacuum set-up if ngarover or anyone else needs spare pieces

Cool. problem is, with them all going out it seems to just be a matter of time. a full rebuild is the only answer.
