Wanted. Console wood for 84 300SD.

Doesn't have to be perfect but I'd like one that is close enough to good to be refinished.

I'm looking for a nice one. After I get mine, I could send u mine via "the pay if forward" thread.

I've got the climate control wood trim, is that what you're looking for?

I'm needing the one that surrounds the shifter. Mine has a chunk knocked out of it and the cracks are deep into the wood.

I don't have a shifter piece, but I do have two automatic climate control pieces - one in excellent condition and the second one looks completely mint.

That would suit me fine.

I can refinish the wood.

One of the guys here is sending me a speedo on the 'pay it forward,' concept. That is almost unheard of these days.

Hey Dan, is the quality of your refinishing like the original? I've got some W116 bits I wouldn't mind getting refinished at some point. I also have a shifter trim piece that will need some additional holes drilled - do you do that as well? I could probably cut the holes myself - biggest risk is damaging the finish more but if the piece is getting refinished I don't think that's much of a concern.

I have never refinished a piece of MB trim but I'll let you know.

I wouldn't learn on someone else's treasure but let me finish a couple of pieces and we'll see.

As far as cutting finished wood, you let me know what openings you want to produce and I'll guide you through the cutting.
