WTB W123 Blue Driver's Seat Bottom

Want to buy a seat bottom for a Blue 1983 300TD MB Tex. If you are selling other parts for rebuilding seats (rubber horse hair, etc) I would be interested as well. I'm going to start rebuilding my seats soon, and the driver's seat bottom needs a new cover. Thanks for reading!

Do you need a 2nd spring box with the 2nd spring? I also got an extra foam cushion and blue plastic parts. I highly suggest the 2nd spring instead of the fun noodle trick.

Second spring, I did not know of this rebuild. So you add in a spring? If I want to rebuild the driver and passenger would I need two boxes?

Actually, you just need the spring and enough of the metal that connects to that spring so that you can fasten it to the existing spring box. There is an extra slot on the bottom of the spring box and it fits right in there, perfectly. The 2nd spring will go right next to the existing spring. You will need to destroy a spring box to get the extra spring. If you are rebuilding, then I suggest you get a passenger spring box and make that your driver's since the passenger will most likely be in the best condition. Get a passenger donor car for the extra springs, same logic. It is 100% better than the fun noodle repair. If you want super stiff seats, you can buy a foam insert that goes inside the spring, however, I suggest you try the 2nd spring deal without it first since the seat may be too stiff then.

I have a post here on this forum under the FS section. There are some pictures to explain better what I am trying to explain here.

Ah ok I found your post makes more sense to me now. Well actually my drivers seat feels pretty solid and my passenger doesn't. I want to tackle rebuilding the Driver's seat first because the seat bottom is in terrible shape and the rest of my interior looks quite good.

Easy -- swap the passanger seat cover to the driver's and vice versa. I still suggest the extra spring. Those who done it agree with me that is makes a 100% ++ improvement. You are looking at no more than a few hours and you will have a nice front seat from the looks of it. Sorry for the confusion with my written description vs. some snappies.
