Delibes' WTB Thread

Hello everyone,
I decided that, rather than asking in new threads, I would just consolidate all I need in one single thread that I can update regularly.

As of 07/16/12, I need the following:

-Cruise control motor (OM617, 81-85 style).
-Two bundt spares (must be unused).
-European-style reverse/fog light.
-Up to 6 W202 spare steel rims.
-A winch that will fit the W123.
-A brush guard that will fit the W123.

Located in Wichita, KS.

Do yourself a favor and get a manual hand winch and reinforce the towing hooks (Anything else on a W123 will be a major PITA to make work correctly)

I have a bundt which is the spare that has never been used, still has the original spare tire on it, and it has never been used either. I have the plastic tag from the factory. Its 14" 5.5. My guess is that it never left the trunk when it left W. Germany.

Brush Gaurd may be a little tough to find - there actually was an option on like the W116 but it was just a 1/2 hoop Chrome thingy. You may have to fabricate one. If you know what the footprint will be on the brush gaurd or weld a ENGO universal plate to the brush gaurd for the winch. How big a winch you thinking about?

I am shooting for a 4,000+ pound winch... something that will be able to get my two-ton expedition 300TD unstuck should this ever happen...

Okay, got most of my supplies!
Does anyone, by any chance, have a LARGE AMOUNT of W123 OM617 spin-on fuel filters that they would be willing to sell for cheap? I am looking for 10 or so; the truth is that you can't have enough of those!

I would not take that many on the trip. I'd install a pressure gauge (in the engine compartment) to monitor when the filter needs changing to get maximum life out of it. If you have a gauge, 1 or 2 filter should be enough for your trip. Be selective where you get your fuel from. Would not be a bad idea to have a 5 gallon see through container to pump fuel into first and inspect before pouring into the tank via a funnel.

did you get a winch?

I was going to suggest 1 or 2 comealongs and some chain or rope as light, simple, cheap, and just as effective taking a little more time to get unstuck
