manual steering gearbox part number 1234610601.
A 123 460 48 09 STEERING SHAFT - FOR MANUAL STEERING,BOTTOM A 123 462 12 96 BOOT - MECHANICAL STEERING * 369mm steering shaft particular to this application whereas I have 322mm * I am trying to convert my car to manual steering. *All these parts should do what I need. *The shaft for manual steering is longer than what is in my power steering setup. * * Also looking for the diesel injection pump and linkage.* I don’t know the part number but it should be on a 5 cylinder 300d.* The pump will in the part number have the letter “M”* the US model says “MW” I am looking for the one with the “M”. |

Unfortunately I only have an MW pump.
And I've never even heard of manual steering on these cars. What W123 vehicles had manual steering? Why would you want to convert from power steering??

Not entirely sure but I'm thinking pr 1981 w123. 240d for sure maybe othe models too. Conversion just to reduce engine bay clutter. I enjoy less unnecessary stuff. :-)

Wow, I've driven a few 240s and also an 81 300 and all of them had power steering.
You've seen them with manual steering before? I'm a bit incredulous
