I'm selling the engine from my 1982 240D as I'm in the process of removing all parts I can use and selling/scraping the rest. I have all the maintenance records for this engine back to new. It's a real shame the RUST had to claim this car by the prior owner not replacing something as cheap as the windshield seals. It's an EGR type engine. When I bought it it had about 160K on it but was very well maintained. No smoke, fired up immediately on a cold 27 degree morning after sitting for months. I replaced the valve cover gasket and the valve seals and the oil pan gasket. Also has a new thermostat and was recently flushed. I will post pictures later this week when I have time to take them. I'll also post the results of a compression check and chain stretch test as well. I'm keeping the manual 4 speed to put on my 1978. As I recall this engine did burn some oil. But I don't recall how much. Once I get the pictures and compression readings and a video of it running I'll finalize a price. I need to do some research as I have no idea what these go for. I will also have some other parts available from this car soon as well.
